Hello Emilio!

Doctor Emilio Lacayo is my PCP, but is also so much more than that to both me and my family. He first became my Aunt Joan’s doctor several years ago and has subsequently taken over care of my grandmother, brother and me. Clearly we have great faith in his abilities, as the fate of about half of my immediate family circle lies in his very capable hands.

Joan sneakily took pictures of Dr. Lacayo in his younger years at his surprise birthday party last night!

Over the years he has become a great friend to Joan and Mema and his meticulous examinations have helped keep all of our various health issues in line. He is a great physician and an incredibly warm and friendly human being.

When I went in to see him about my calf, his attention to detail and speed in getting everything checked out were truly a blessing. He had me in for CT scans and ultrasounds immediately and smoothed the processes involved in getting all of the numerous appointments arranged. When we received the biopsy results and my parents came into town, he arranged to have all of us meet with him on a Thursday evening, after hours, to discuss the next steps in this process. I’ve never had a doctor who would go so far out of his way to make sure everything was understood and explained, and I can not express how grateful I am to him for being so thorough and thoughtful during this tumultuous time.

Thank you Doctor Lacayo for all that you have done for me, and I hope you have a wonderful birthday tomorrow!!!
